This is ridiculas to say the least. I actually had to go do a search, and sure enough, these antenna handbooks are only 60 bucks new. Get real... Dennis
I decided to look up the ARRL Antenna Book 22nd Edition and see these sellers pricing them from $252.74 for a used book up to $431.86 for a New Book. The MSRP on this book is $59.95. The ironic thing is that one of the sellers of the used book is named "cheap_discount_textbooks" who has the book priced at $259.90.
I don't understand why these sellers have marked up the price of the book by 400 to 700 percent.
These books are not Limited Edition Comic Books that go up in value. A new Edition comes out each year. I don't get it.
If you need this book, then get the soft cover version. At least they are reasonably priced.
This is the standard. A text for both amateur radio and the antenna engineer. It covers the theory and implementation of many antenna designs such as the vertical, Yagi, etc..
As are all ARRL publications, this book is somewhat thin on technical depth but is unequaled on conceptual presentation. A good starting point when beginning an antenna project.
The American Radio Relay League formed circa 1914. Their reliable body of knowledge of all things radio that has been gained since then is the gold standard and would indeed fill many libraries. "The ARRL Antenna Book for Radio Communications, 22nd Edition" is their latest compilation about just antenna systems. If you want or need to know any or all about "Antennas, Transmission Lines and Radio Wave Propagation", it's in this book. You can't do better than to purchase this one. I highly recommend it.
